About the Presentation
A recent class-action settlement in California court has opened the door to future legal inquiries about web accessibility. For web designers and developers, this brings to light issues surrounding Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and Internet applications of the Americans with Disabilities Act. In this presentation, Kel Smith of Anikto LLC will speak about the concept of barrier-free user experience from both a technical and legal perspective. Learn about the practical benefits of compliance, uncover some common accessibility assumptions, and discover how standards-based web design benefits users of all abilities.
